Sekarang tiba saatnya buat Harry Potter untuk memenuhi takdirnya sebagai yang terpilih.

REVIEW

Harry Potter adalah Daniel Radcliffe. Hermione Granger adalah Emma Watson. Ron Weasley adalah Rupert Grint. Tak bisa dipungkiri memang kalau ketiga aktor/ aktris ini memang sudah identik dengan karakter yang mereka perankan sejak hampir sepuluh tahun yang lalu itu. Fakta itu saja sudah membuat HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS bagian pertama ini menang di atas kertas. Satu dasawarsa sudah mereka bertiga menemani kita dan waktu yang cukup lama itu telah mengukir sebuah kesan yang sangat kuat di benak penonton.

Serial Harry Potter memang sudah mendekati tamat. Satu film lagi dan usai sudah kisah fantasi ini. Mungkin fakta itu juga yang membuat film ini jadi lebih spesial ketimbang bagian-bagian sebelumnya. Tapi tunggu dulu. Jadi sentimentil memang boleh tapi bagaimana pun film ini tetap punya nilai yang tetap tak bisa dikesampingkan. Dari sisi visual, jelas tak ada yang perlu dikhawatirkan dari film ini. Seperti biasa, adegan-adegan fantastis bisa dibuat begitu nyata seolah memang benar-benar terjadi namun tentu saja bukan itu saja masalahnya.

Soal alur cerita memang tak perlu banyak disinggung karena versi novelnya sudah terbit lebih dulu dan rasanya tak pantas kalau kita meremehkan hasil karya JK Rowling yang sudah mendapat penghargaan di mana-mana. Lagi pula, film ini juga nyaris sama persis dengan versi bukunya meski ada sedikit tambahan yang tak begitu signifikan. Yang jelas, keputusan 'membelah' bagian ini menjadi dua adalah keputusan yang tepat karena rasanya akan lebih sulit kalau harus memampatkan semua plot dan subplot itu ke dalam satu film saja. Jadi ini bukan sekedar trik marketing untuk mengeruk uang lebih banyak.

Kalau naskah sudah beres dan visual tak perlu diragukan, yang terakhir adalah akting para pendukungnya. Dan di sisi ini pun lagi-lagi film ini sama sekali tak mengecewakan. Selain mungkin masing-masing aktor/ aktris sudah paham benar dengan karakter yang mereka perankan, campur tangan sutradara David Yates dalam menghidupkan karya tulis ini pun tak bisa dipandang sebelah mata. Singkat kata, bagian pertama dari HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: Part 1 ini tak hanya layak jadi pengeruk dolar tapi juga sebuah film yang menghibur meski nuansa bagian ini lebih kelam dari film-film sebelumnya (Kapanlagi.com)

Kalau kisah bisa disebut biasa-biasa saja, lantas apa kekuatan THE EXPENDABLES ini? Jawabnya jelas para pemainnya. Ini adalah film laga all stars! Sayangnya, hanya itu yang ditawarkan film besutan Sylvester Stallone ini.

Tanpa casting berkilau seperti ini, bisa jadi THE EXPENDABLES hanya akan berakhir seperti kebanyakan film laga yang dibuat straight di DVD. Dengan skenario yang bisa dibilang generik, plus pembentukan karakter yang kurang dalam membuat film ini memang murni jadi suguhan buat mata. Stallone pun seolah berusaha memberikan porsi yang sama besar untuk semua bintang walaupun Arnold Schwarzenegger dan Bruce Willis hanya kebagian peran cameo saja.

Soal akting, ini memang film Stallone tapi kalau mau jujur, sebenarnya malah Statham yang terlihat lebih bersinar diikuti oleh karakter Lundgren, Jet Li, dan Rourke. Selebihnya terasa biasa-biasa saja. Namun karena ini memang film laga, jadi sepertinya semua pertimbangan di atas bisa dikesampingkan. Machete Cortez adalah mantan Polisi Federal Meksiko yang lari dari kesatuannya. Tak punya pekerjaan tetap, Machete akhirnya bersedia menerima pekerjaan apapun selama bisa menghasilkan uang. Di saat itulah Machete bertemu Michael Booth (Jeff Fahey), seorang usahawan yang menawari Machete pekerjaan. Michael menyuruh Machete membunuh Senator McLaughlin (Robert De Niro) yang kabarnya adalah politisi korup yang benci pendatang dari Meksiko.

Dengan bayaran yang menggiurkan, Machete pun menerima tawaran ini. Saat Machete sudah merencanakan eksekusi, tiba-tiba saja ada orang lain yang ternyata juga mengincar nyawa Machete. Ternyata Machete dijebak untuk membuat seolah-olah ada imigran gelap yang berusaha membunuh Senator McLauglin. Untungnya Machete berhasil lolos dan kini jadi buruan antek-antek Senator McLauglin. Di saat yang sama, ada seorang petugas imigrasi bernama Santana Rivera (Jessica Alba) yang ditugaskan untuk menangkap Machete.

Dengan bantuan She (Michelle Rodriguez), Machete kemudian merekrut Padre (Cheech Marin) untuk membalaskan dendamnya pada Booth. Mereka bertiga kemudian menculik April (Lindsay Lohan), putri Michael Booth yang ternyata kecanduan obat terlarang.

MACHETE memang bukan film Oscar. Menariknya, film ini memang tak berusaha untuk terlihat seperti film Oscar dan sepertinya untuk itu Robert Rodriguez layak dapat pujian. Dari sederet judul film yang pernah ia kerjakan terlihat kalau genre film eksploitasi memang sudah jadi bidang Rodriguez.

Ada sederet nama beken yang dipasang Rodriguez dalam film ini. Selain Danny Trejo yang sudah lama malang melintang di dunia film masih ada nama Steven Seagal, Jeff Fahey, Lindsay Lohan, Don Johnson, Jessica Alba, dan Robert De Niro. Pemasangan nama-nama besar ini sepertinya juga tak ada sangkut pautnya dengan usaha mendongkrak popularitas film ini karena terlepas dari nama-nama itu, MACHETE tetaplah film yang fun buat ditonton.

Alur kisah memang tak terlalu rumit namun memang bukan itu tujuan Rodriguez karena sutradara ini tak mau penonton pusing oleh jalan cerita yang disuguhkan. Karakter yang dimunculkan pun cenderung dua dimensi tapi itu bukan soal karena begitulah seharusnya film seperti ini. Nyatanya, dengan segala kekurangan (menurut juri Oscar) itu, MACHETE tetap dapat menghibur. Tentu saja ini tak bisa dipukul rata karena tak semua orang suka film 'tak berpikir' dan hanya mengeksploitasi seks dan kekerasan seperti ini.(kpl/roc)

Included is a magic wand with a number of different modes for creating your masks. Or use a common shape or one of the many masking brushes to create exactly the mask you need.

Filters. A filter allows for processing the image all at once. TwistedBrush includes the full range of image processing filters ready to use.

Tracing Paper. The tracing paper feature gives you the ability to turn your canvas into tracing paper so that you can see a reference image below it for use as a drawing guide. This is invaluable for many types of work.

Cloning. Cloning, taking image data from somewhere else and placing it into your painting, that is cloning. The source image for the TwistedBrush cloning brushes can be a different image or from another area of your current picture. The cloners can be used to render a photo as a artist drawing, or to touch-up a photo or do many things in-between.

Scripts. With scripts you can record your painting actions and play them back, recreating your painting from scratch. This has value for trying out different "what-if" scenarios, for teaching pusposes, for animation production when used with the AVI saving option or just for entertainment.

Pattern Brushes. There are a number of ArtSets that contain Pattern brushes. These brushes paint a pattern on your canvas as you paint. Adjust the size the pattern with the density slider. Categories of patterns include, surface, materials, nature and others.
